The filing deadline for the 2017 EEO-1 Survey has been extended to Friday, June 1, 2018.
The Employer Information Report EEO-1, otherwise known as the EEO-1 Report is required to be filed with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s EEO-1 Joint Regulatory Committee.
The EEOC has advised all employers to be on the lookout for an e-blast sent to the EEO-1 company contact introducing the new EEO-1 survey application. This EEO-1 filing deadline extension may be the result of the backlog and delay for processing requests for spin-offs and merger/acquisitions that are manually processed by the EEOC.
All private employers with 100 or more employees and federal contractors or subcontractors with at least 50 employees AND a federal contract or subcontract amounting to $50,000 or more are required to report employment data by race/ethnicity, gender, and job category on the EEO-1 Report.
More information can be found at the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission website or by calling 1-877-392-4647.
