Dr. Tiffany Wilfong, Executive Director of Investigations and Jeff Bowman, Senior Investigator and Case Manager will be presenting “Investigations: An Ethical Approach” on April 21, 2026, at 12pm. The CLE is open to any active Pennsylvania attorneys and free to attend. 

The presentation will focus on ethical considerations surrounding investigations.  Organizations should have processes in place to ensure information is gathered in an ethical and defensible manner. Because of this, general investigation procedures will be discussed, which will include mentions of Garrity Warnings and union participation. 

The attendees will be walked through the following key ethical components of internal investigations: Respecting the Complainant and Respondent; Confidentiality; and Utilization of Third-Party Investigators. 

Ethical considerations while searching for and gathering evidence will also be discussed. This includes Wiretap Act; Fair Credit Reporting Act; Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act; and communication with persons represented by Counsel.
