Employment Alert: Private Employers Are Required To File Workforce Data to EEOC by March 31, 2018

employees large companyThe EEOC has mailed the 2017 EEO-1 Survey Notification Letters to all private sector employers.

The EEO-1 is an annual survey that mandates all private employers with 100 or more employees and federal government contractors, or first-tier subcontractors with 50 or more employees and a contract/subcontract of $50,000 or more, to file the EEO-1 Report. The EEO-1 Report provides employment data by race/ethnicity, gender and job categories.

The filing of the EEO-1 Report is not voluntary and is required by federal law, Section 709(c), Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

The annual filing deadline is March 31, 2018!

If you are one of the Employers listed above and do not receive the 2017 Notification Letter by January 29, 2018, you should contact the EEOC at (877) 392-4647 or email e1.techassistance@eeoc.gov.
