EEO-1 Deadline Extension – May 31, 2019

The filing deadline for the 2018 EEO-1 Survey has been extended to May 31, 2019.

EEO1 Deadline May 31

Due to the EEOC closure during the federal government shutdown (December 22, 2018 – January 25, 2019) the 2018 EEO-1 Survey was postponed. The opening of the database for the 2018 EEO-1 Survey was postponed to early March and the filing deadline is extended until May 31, 2019.

Companies that filed the EEO-1 Report last year will receive information regarding a login password in late February or early March 2019.

All private employers with 100 or more employees are required to file an EEO-1 Survey. Closely managed corporate family entities must file if the aggregate of employees is at least 100. And federal government contractors are required to file if they have 50 employees and at least one federal contract, subcontract, or purchase orders of $50,000.

You Should:

  1. Confirm your corporate contact and email address. If your company contact is no longer employed with the company or the responsible person has changed, you should email E1.techassistance@eeoc.gov and identify the new company contact.
  2. Update record reporting if your company has been involved with a merger, acquisition, or spin-off. If your company has been involved in a merger or acquisition, you should send an email to E1.acquisitionsmergers@eeoc.gov.
