Victor S. Kustra

Victor S. Kustra is an Associate in the Real Estate, Corporate, and Litigation Practice Groups. He believes in taking a straightforward approach to legal issues to efficiently achieve the best results for his clients.

Victor assists individuals and businesses in a wide variety of matters, including commercial and residential real estate transactions; real estate development; tax assessment; preparing and reviewing contract documents; navigating requirements for residential and commercial land development; mergers and acquisitions; and business formation.

Victor is a skilled litigator with experience in trial, discovery, and settlement negotiation in matters including breach of contract, fraud, real estate seller disclosure violations, negligence, statutory interpretation, declaratory judgment actions, and criminal defense.

Victor was named a 2021 Super Lawyers Rising Star, a recognition received by only 2.5% of attorneys in Pennsylvania. His article, “What You Need to Know About Pennsylvania Drone Crimes,” was published in the March/April 2020 issue of The Pennsylvania Lawyer magazine.

He received his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2017. He was as a member of Pitt Law’s nationally recognized Mock Trial Team and a Staff Editor of the Journal of Technology Law & Policy, where his article, “Connected Vehicle Technology: An All Too Convenient Solution to Roadway Problems in the United States,” was published in Fall 2015. He graduated summa cum laude from Slippery Rock University in 2014 with a B.A. in Criminal Justice.

Outside of work, Victor loves to cook, golf, exercise, and spend time with his family (including his Siberian husky, Hilo).

Representative Experience

  • Obtained favorable judgments at trial for clients in various breach of contract actions, including private individuals, automobile repair shops, car dealerships, and local construction companies
  • Successfully defended property owners in property tax assessment appeals
  • Successfully defended against request for injunctive relief that would have required client to pay over $100,000 in damages
  • Facilitated mergers and acquisitions on behalf of various professional entities, including sale of optometry practice
  • Successfully represented automobile dealership in civil regulatory investigation involving over 100 employees
  • Negotiated numerous contracts on behalf of individuals in businesses, including employment agreements and real estate contracts
